WHO WE ARE

The Bozzolo family has been dedicated to chestnut cultivation for several centuries in Viola Castello. Through many generations, they have always directly managed this activity, preserving respect for traditions and the land. The Marco Bozzolo Agricultural Company is part of the Slow Food Community “Guardians of the Chestnut Groves of the Ligurian Alps” and in 2019 won the National Bandiera Verde Award in Rome.

Always committed to chestnut farming, each generation has preserved the secrets of the long chestnut drying process, respecting the ancient tradition that still takes place in the original drying house—a stone and wood structure from the 1800s, completely renovated in 2018.

The Marco Bozzolo Agricultural Company manages and oversees the entire production chain, from the cultivation of the chestnut groves to harvesting, selection, processing, packaging, and marketing. For our sweet products, we rely on the craftsmanship of local artisans.
